Countries across Africa are at different stages of adopting dedicated import, safety and road-use standards for e-bikes and e-scooters, and many markets currently rely on general consumer product and import regulations. In the absence of a mature local framework, Phantom applies its CE-marked, TÜV-tested European baseline as the default safety standard, so distributors and riders get the same battery, motor and structural safety testing regardless of local regulatory maturity.
